Dedication Page

I love exploring personal websites, and I can go down this rabbit hole for hours, from one site to another. The most interesting things I find on personal websites are the slash pages, like Uses, Now, Blogroll, and About, where you can discover a lot of interesting stuff.

There are so many of them, which you can find here, and I loved most of them. For me, these kinds of personal and creative pages make the web more human and beautiful.

After going through these slash pages, I thought, why can’t we create a dedication page?

In most books, there is a dedication page, a page where the author honors their loved ones, or thanks someone who influenced or supported the work.

In the same spirit, why not have a dedication page on a website? A page where we dedicate our personal space on the internet to the people we love, the ones who encouraged us, or the ones who made this possible.

That’s it. A small idea: you can dedicate your space on the internet to someone, or even to yourself, with a simple page.

How do I make a dedication page?

Add a new page to your website, preferably with the URL /dedication. Write about the people, the ideas, or whatever you want to dedicate your beautiful digital space to.

Add a link to your dedication page on your website. Share it with your friends. Encourage them to make one too.
